Your Itinerary

  • Day 01 Welcome to sun-kissed Cancun

    Card image

Once you arrive at Cancun Airport, a private transfer will be waiting to whisk you off to your hotel. Overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Cancun is blessed with a tropical climate and azure coastlines – the perfect starting point to your Yucatan holiday. Meet your fellow travellers and local guide in the hotel lobby, where you’ll enjoy a welcome cocktail, before heading out for your first meal together. Sample the well-known flavours of Mexican cuisine with a three-course meal and a drink, settling into the adventure ahead.

  • Day 02 Wild swim the cenotes of Tulum

    Card image

First thing this morning, you’ll head south along the Caribbean coast to Tulum, a lively town nestled between Maya ruins and lush rainforest, with the sparkling sea unfolding to the horizon. Here, a series of cenotes awaits to be discovered; these natural subterranean sinkholes are the largest system of their kind in the world, boasting ethereal turquoise pools between mysterious caverns. The morning is dedicated to exploring Cenote Tam Ha and Cenote Xaman Ha. Then, after lunch, it’s onto Cenote Dos Ojos. Swim your way through one of the world’s most unique terrains, marvelling at the geological formations beneath the surface. Back at the hotel, the rest of the afternoon is yours to relax as you please.

  • Day 03 Ancient ruins, bike rides and vibrant colour in Tulum

    Card image

After breakfast at the hotel, you’re off to Tulum Archaeological Site, which you’ll explore on a cycling tour. Weave between a sequence of landmarks and ruins, absorbing the region’s Maya history as you go, before making your way to Gran Cenote – the largest and most well-known sinkhole on the peninsula. Refresh yourself with a subterranean swim through the eerie turquoise waters, beneath a rainforest canopy of drooping vines and foliage. After lunch, we’ll drive you back to the hotel, where you’ll have the rest of the afternoon to explore Tulum at leisure. This lovely town has plenty to offer, from roadside cafes and bars to vibrant market-stalls. Later on, gather with your group for dinner, followed by a tequila tasting to round your evening off in quintessential Mexican style.

  • Day 04 Encounter the mysteries of Chichen Itza

    Card image

This morning will see you uncover one of Yucatan’s most precious Maya landmarks: Chichen Itza. An ingenious feat of Maya architecture, the temples of Chichen Itza were built to align with astronomical events and equinoxes. As one of the seven wonders of the modern world, it’s a phenomenon more impressive than photos can capture. After a morning of Maya heritage, enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, then it’s onto Merida, officially the capital of Yucatan state and a town boasting plenty of Spanish colonial charm. Upon arrival, the rest of the day is yours to explore your new city at your own pace. There are many excellent restaurants to choose from, and your guide will be on hand with local suggestions.

  • Day 05 Historical beauty in Merida

    Card image

Continuing in the historical vein, you’re off to explore another of Yucatan’s archaeological treasures in Uxmal. This ancient Maya city is one of the region’s most important historical landmarks, comprising a collection of pyramids and sacred buildings. Immerse yourself in the legacy of the Maya, before finding somewhere to enjoy lunch (which will be up to you to arrange). Then, you’re off for a wild swimming session in Cenote Kankirixche, before spending the rest of the afternoon exploring the historical sights of Merida. Back at the hotel, the rest of the evening is all yours.

  • Day 06 Discover a tropical island paradise

    Card image

Tuck into breakfast at the hotel, then you’ll catch a boat ride across the lagoon to Holbox Island. Think soft white beaches, sparkling sea and swaying palms, secluded from the roar and traffic of modern life – in short, a Caribbean island paradise. Take your pick from the island’s seafront restaurants for lunch, enjoying your first taste of Holbox. Spend the rest of the afternoon however you please, with the tropical sea and beach at your disposal. Then, as evening draws in, gather with your group for sunset cocktails before heading out for dinner together.

  • Day 07 Snorkel through Caribbean waters

    Card image

Today will see you dive into Holbox’s lush underwater world, as you immerse yourself in a full-day snorkelling tour around Cape Catoche. Around two metres down, you’ll find a series of ‘cuevones’ – unique habitats which are home to octopuses, nurse sharks, lobsters and sea turtles. As you weave between thickets of coral, you’ll come face-to-face with the sheer diversity of Yucatan’s seascape. Back on dry land, gather with your fellow travellers for a farewell dinner, savouring your final evening together as the sun goes down. *Please note that sea conditions can never be guaranteed, so if the weather isn’t in your favour, your guide will arrange an alternative activity.

  • Day 08 Hasta luego, Yucatan

    Card image

We’ve arranged a transfer to take you back to Cancun, then it’s then over to you to make your own way to your next destination. Whether you feel like extending your stay in Mexico or exploring Central America further, you may find just the holiday you’re looking for in our vast offering.

Important Notes

  • Fly into and out of Cancún International Airport (CUN).

  • Please try to arrive in Cancun before 4pm, although we will arrange an airport transfer for you at whichever time you arrive.

  • On the final day, try to make sure your flight does not leave before 2pm. This is because the trip finishes a few hours away and we only have one group transfer on this day back to Cancun.

  • Your guide will be with you throughout the trip, including your experience of wild swimming at Tulum, where they’ll give safety briefings, unearth quieter spots and share local myths behind each of the caves.

  • Please be aware that the itinerary, activities and hotels are subject to change. These changes can happen with little notice due to availability, poor weather, seasonal changes, or other circumstances beyond our control – but we’ll always do our best to ensure it has little impact on your experience. From time to time, we may also make changes to your itinerary to try out new ideas and keep things fresh and exciting.
