If the date you’ve chosen indicates it’s an early bird, it means you’re one of the first 4 people to book this adventure and you’ll enjoy £50-£100 off your adventure. Don’t book your flights just yet, we’ll let you know once there are 3+ early birds and we can confirm your Flash Pack adventure.

If the date you’ve selected indicates it’s on ‘final call’, this means the adventure is departing soon or is nearly full. We will therefore need to confirm your place with our local team. Book to secure your place, but please do not book your international flights until we contact you. Your payment will be held during the process, but not taken until your place is confirmed. We’ll aim to get back to you within 3 working days.

A trip being listed as an insider means it’s our very first departure for this adventure, so we’re looking for open-minded individuals who won’t mind if things don’t go 100% according to plan. In exchange for the discount you see, we’ll be asking for detailed daily feedback that we can use to improve our adventures. It’s not for everyone, so please go to our insider page to learn more.

If the date you’ve selected indicates the trip is guaranteed, this means your chosen adventure is definitely going ahead. Once you’ve secured your spot, you can book your flights right away.

Your Itinerary

  • Day 01 Hello, Northern Lights

    Card image

Welcome to Finland. Land in Kittilä by 5pm, where a transfer will whisk you away to your new home on the banks of the Muonio River. With zero light pollution, some of the cleanest air in the world and a chance to glimpse the Northern Lights, you’re in for a spectacular wilderness experience. As evening falls, collect your winter gear and join your fellow travellers and guide around a crackling campfire, with hot drinks to see you through the night.

  • Day 02 Snowmobile safari and sauna therapy

    Card image

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, then you’ll set out on a snowmobile safari through the icy wilderness. After warming up with a quick driving lesson, you’ll delve 80 kilometres into the Arctic wilderness, passing pine forests and frozen lakes as you go. You’ll refuel with a picnic lunch over a campfire, before arriving at your wilderness cabin for the evening – with a warm lakeside sauna awaiting you.

  • Day 03 Snowmobiles, huskies and Aurora skies

    Card image

This morning will see you head back into the wilderness on your snowmobile, driving 50 kilometres to your unique wilderness lodge on the shores of Lake Jerisjarvi. Check into your Aurora Dome – a secluded glamping tent perfectly poised for watching the Northern Lights – and settle into your magnificent surroundings with a cold drink in your steaming sauna. Gather with your group for a farewell dinner, then you’ll embark on a husky sledge-ride beneath the icy skies – and, if you’re lucky, the Northern Lights. Afterwards, retire to your Aurora Dome and fall asleep to uninterrupted views of the Arctic landscape.

  • Day 04 Farewell, Finland

    Card image

Enjoy a final breakfast at your lodge, then we’ll drive you back to Kittilä Airport, where it’s over to you to arrange your way back home. Interested in Arctic escapes like this one? Take a look at our Iceland adventure for glacier hiking and volcanic sights.

Aurora Domes, Lake Torassieppi

Sleep in igloo-shaped pods under the Northern Lights

These brilliant insulated domes, perched on the edge of frozen Lake Torassieppi, come with log fires, cosy beds, rugs and plenty of blankets.

Why we stay here

An unrivalled Northern Lights experience – especially when you’re wrapped up in a blanket with a glass of prosecco in your hand.

Torassieppi Village, Muonio

Cosy cabin village in Pallas-Ylläs National Park

Bed down in peaceful wooden chalets (complete with log burners) on the shores of Lake Torassieppi.

Why we stay here

This 19th-century farm complex is spectacularly located amid snow-clad fir trees and the frozen lake. We love the toasty saunas, and the restaurant’s roaring log fire.

Important Notes

  • Fly into and out of Kittilä Airport (KTT). Finding flights for this northwards voyage to the Arctic Circle can be a challenge. Please let us know if you are struggling – we’ll do our very best to help.

  • You are required to drive your own snowmobile on this trip, and you’ll need to show a valid driving licence for vehicles with at least 125cc.

  • Please be aware that the Northern Lights are weather-dependent and not guaranteed to appear on every trip.

  • Please be aware that the itinerary, activities and hotels are subject to change. These changes can happen with little notice due to availability, poor weather, seasonal changes, or other circumstances beyond our control – but we’ll always do our best to ensure it has little impact on your experience. From time to time, we may also make changes to your itinerary to try out new ideas and keep things fresh and exciting.
