You will need additional warm layers because the weather can drop very quickly.\nWarm winter coat \u2013 Having a warm coat is essential as the temperatures in Iceland can be freezing.\nWaterproof jacket \u2013 It could rain at any time of the year, so you\u2019ll need to bring a waterproof jacket.\nFleeces\/sweaters \u2013 You\u2019ll need to bring lots of warm sweaters\/fleeces with you.\nWindproof clothing \u2013 This is essential as wind chill can make the temperature feel a lot lower than it is.\nOutdoor trousers \u2013 Outdoor trousers that you don\u2019t mind getting dirty will be perfect for hiking.\nEvening clothes \u2013 What you wear in the evening is up to you, but you might want some nicer clothes for going to bars and restaurants.\nSunglasses \u2013 The sun can reflect brightly off the glacier, so we recommend protecting yourself with sunglasses.\nWarm scarf\/hat\/gloves \u2013 It can get very cold in Iceland, especially at night, so we suggest bringing a warm scarf and a hat, along with some gloves.\nSwimwear \u2013 For the hotels\u2019 sauna and hot tub as well as your cold water therapy experience.\n\nShoes\n\nWaterproof hiking shoes and warm socks \u2013 You\u2019ll need a comfortable pair of waterproof hiking boots for glacier hiking. Thick socks are also essential.\nComfortable, breathable shoes (trainers\/sneakers) \u2013 A pair of trainers\/sneakers are perfect for general wear.\nEvening shoes \u2013 Some people might want to bring a pair of shoes to wear out to restaurants and bars.\n\nAccessories\n\nYour phone, camera, chargers, etc\nPlug socket adapters \u2013 The standard plug socket in Iceland is type C, which is the standard European plug and has two round prongs.\nRefillable water bottle \u2013 Refilling a bottle instead of buying single-use bottles will help to reduce our plastic footprint.\nEye mask and earplugs \u2013 If you\u2019re a light sleeper, you may feel more comfortable bringing an eye mask and earplugs.\nPocket warmer \u2013 If you feel the cold, a pocket warmer may be useful.\n\nToiletries\/medical\n\nAny personal medication you require\nPersonal toiletries\nShampoo and conditioner \u2013 Most hotels will provide these, but we recommend bringing your own to reduce plastic usage.\nPainkillers\nAnti-bacterial gel\nLip balm with SPF\nMoisturiser\nHigh-factor SPF suncream\n\n"}],"hotels":[{"name":"Hotel Exeter, Reykjavik","short_description":"","description":"With its loft-style interiors and industrial chic vibe, this contemporary design hotel is right in the heart of District 101.
