Your Itinerary

  • Day 01 Sunset sailing in San Francisco Bay

    Card image

Cool, creative and vibrant, San Francisco is one of those legendary US cities shrouded in folklore; from the gold rush days of the Wild West to the cutting-edge tech of Silicon Valley. You’ll meet your fellow travelers and guide in the late afternoon, before heading out for your first activity: sailing by catamaran as the sun sets over San Francisco Bay. With the city unfolding before you, it’s a fitting way to settle into the adventure ahead.

  • Day 02 Cheese & wine tasting on Wente Vineyards

    Card image

Gather on the San Francisco shoreline and go for a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, renowned for its unmistakable Art Deco form. Then, you’re off to the famous Wente Vineyards, the oldest family-run wine estate in the USA. Enjoy an exclusive cheese and wine tasting, learning about the traditions behind each bottle of wine. You’ll then head onto Yosemite, where you’ll check into your lodge. Located deep in the wilderness, these cabins will make you feel truly immersed in Yosemite’s wild beauty. Spend the rest of your evening relaxing in your epic new surroundings.

  • Day 03 Giant Sequoias and thundering waterfalls

    Card image

One of the most breathtaking sights Yosemite has to offer? The giant sequoias of Mariposa Grove. These colossal redwood trees are amongst the largest in the world and make you feel minuscule as they tower overhead. The character of the trees is reflected in their names, which include ‘The Bachelor and the Three Graces’ and ‘The Faithful Couple’. After tucking into a delicious picnic lunch in one of the most unique forests on earth, you’ll venture off-radar to Tuolumne Meadows, nestled in a lesser-known part of Yosemite. This vast, sub-alpine meadowland offers spectacular views over the surrounding mountainscape, with shimmering reflections dancing off the river. It’s yet another colossal landscape which will make you feel smaller than ever. You’ll then return to your wilderness retreat for a relaxing evening.

  • Day 04 Rugged peaks and misty trails

    Card image

Today, your full-day hike will be off to an early start, allowing you to witness the best of Yosemite’s raw beauty before the crowds descend. Colossal granite peaks rise over Yosemite Valley, where you’ll find deep pine forests and giant, thundering waterfalls. From there, you’ll continue onto Mist Trail, a precipitous hiking route which takes you up to the Vernal and Nevada Falls. Continue onto the rugged crests of Glacier Point, which offers uninterrupted views of the valley below. If you have energy left to spare, you’ll have the option to bike through Yosemite Valley, before returning to your valley lodge for a closing night dinner.

  • Day 05 Goodbye, Yosemite

    Card image

Savor your final morning of Yosemite’s stirring scenery, before transferring back to San Francisco, where it all began. You can either catch an evening flight home (yours to arrange) or opt for an extra night in one of the city’s fine hotels. We’ll leave it up to you.
