Tucked in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, 8282 is not your typical Korean restaurant but a labor of love from Chef Bong Le Jo and his fiancée Jee Kim. According to Forbes “It’s the kind of place where you look in the window, check the posted menu, look at each other, smile and say, “Let’s go in.” And you will be glad you did.” With such high praise no wonder 8282 was awarded a BIB Gourmand by Michelin in 2023.

8282 offers a light-hearted, fresh take on Korean food. Expect a mix of small plates called Anju, which means food you eat with alcohol, larger Banju plates meant to be shared and some inventive cocktails and mocktails to tie it all together.

Dive into the works of Korean minimalist artist Lee Ufan, who’s work combines his passion for philosophy and aesthetics. You’ll learn about Ufan’s artistic evolution and create your own abstract painting inspired by his colorful gradients, monochromatic canvases, and patterned dot paintings.

Together we’ll harness the power of art to inspire new ideas, conversations and connections. No experience is necessary — only a desire to express yourself and get to know others through the process of discussing and creating artwork.
