Group Solo Travel in Kenya

Travel solo as part of a group tour to Kenya

why travel solo to kenya?

Ever wanted to feel like you’re in a nature documentary? Kenya is the African safari you’ve always dreamed of…

Think of Africa and you probably imagine sweeping savannahs teeming with wildlife: big cats prowling through long grass, vast herds of wildebeest streaming across the Mara River and an abundance of zebras, giraffes, elephants and other Lion King favourites lazing in the shade of acacia trees. In short, what you think of is Kenya’s Masai Mara.

With over 50 national parks and reserves, Kenya offers some of the most thrilling wildlife viewing in the world – complete with classic safari vehicles, top-notch guides and boutique tented camps. Add to this activities like cycling, ziplining and the chance to float across the plains in a hot air balloon, and you’ve got yourself the trip of a lifetime. Luckily, our flagship adventure through Kenya ticks off all of these activities, and more…

Our Kenya trips

Top places to visit in Kenya

Masai Mara

Time your trip right (July-October) and you might witness the Great Migration when over a million wildebeest head north from their breeding grounds in Tanzania’s Serengeti. Even without the migration, the Mara offers some of the world’s best game viewing, excellent accommodation and the chance to mingle with the Maasai.

Hell’s Gate National Park

Named for its geothermal activity, this park within Kenya’s legendary Great Rift Valley is a dramatic landscape of towering red escarpments, scrub-clad volcanoes and belching plumes of steam. It’s also one of the few national parks that you’re allowed to explore by bicycle, with a chance to spot giraffes, zebras and buffalos from your saddle.

Lake Naivasha

Fringed with papyrus and backed with purple mountains, the Rift Valley’s highest lake is like a vast inland sea. Supporting over 350 species of bird – including fish eagles, herons and kingfishers – it’s a birdwatcher’s paradise, but keep your eyes peeled for hippos, crocodiles and other big game that come to drink on its shores.

Kereita Forest

A pristine forest with rivers, caves and waterfalls, Kereita is the perfect setting for some outdoor adventure. As well as hiking and biking trails, the forest is home to East Africa’s longest zipline tour, where you can whizz across the treetops reaching speeds of up to 60 kph whilst taking in the views of Mount Kenya, Africa’s second highest mountain.
