Flash Pack reviews – group dynamic:
Valentina on Trustpilot (May 2025), says: “The group dynamic was amazing – 10 travellers total, mostly solo, all in their 30s and 40s, and every single one up for adventure and good food. We spent nearly all our free time together and genuinely felt like a little family by the end.”
Aaron on Trustpilot (August 2025), says: “Flash Pack is awesome. I’m an experienced traveller but didn’t have time to plan a trip and didn’t want to travel alone. Flash Pack organised the entire trip, and I got to explore Costa Rica with a great group of people who were all around the same age and place in life [..] I’m still in contact with everyone from the trip.”

Intrepid reviews – group dynamic:
Eric848448 on Reddit (November 2024) says, “I’ve taken Intrepid a handful of times and the people in the group have ranged from 19 to 60 or so. At 25 I was one of the oldest in my group. And at 23 I was among the youngest.”
“Intrepid is […] good, but in my experience, more of an age range, and though they welcome solo travellers, some people are likely to be there with their partner or friends and I find I prefer the group dynamic when all/most are solo,” says Pig-dragon on Reddit (February 2025).
Locutus_WPC on Reddit (June 2025) says, “Comfort skews towards seniors or people who value comfort and luxury. They don’t want to stress too much with a busy schedule and enjoy two-hour lunches. They have a low tolerance for minor discomforts. Basic tends to attract younger and/or more active people who want to go-go-go most of the time: hiking or doing activities in nature or exploring every neighbourhood and sight in cities.”

Flash Pack vs Intrepid: friendships
Quick take:
- Flash Pack: Solo travellers highlight deep, lasting friendships as the biggest draw – groups often feel like “old friends” by the end of the trip.
- Emotional bonds: Shared experiences go beyond group activities, with solo travellers describing laughter, vulnerability, and genuine connection.
- Intrepid: Offers broader diversity – groups mix solo travellers, couples, and families across a wide age range (20s to 80s), creating cross-generational friendships.

Flash Pack reviews – friendship:
Sarah on Trustpilot (July 2025) says, “What made this trip [to Bali] truly unforgettable wasn’t the scenery – it was the people. This group made space for each other. We cried, we roasted each other with love, we danced like idiots in Ubud. There was always someone to walk with, to laugh with, or just to sit in silence with when needed. For an introvert who travels hard and feels everything deeply, that mattered.”
Kristi on Trustpilot (May 2025) adds, “I booked this Flash Pack adventure through Chile on a spontaneous whim, hoping to add a little more fun and adventure to my life just before turning 40 – and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. The group I travelled with was incredible – genuine, fun, and full of connection. I couldn’t have asked for a better crew to share the journey with, and it quickly felt like travelling with old friends.”

Intrepid reviews – friendship:
HappaDoc on Reddit (2023) says, “I’ve travelled twice with Intrepid, once solo in my mid-20s and once with my partner. I would say the average age on the two tours I’ve been on has been >50yo, so you will likely be the youngest on the trip. But you’ll meet other travellers from all over the world and that’s fun.”
Playful_Robot_5599 on Reddit (2023) adds, “I’ve always met interesting, funny, and friendly people. The age range is from early 20s to 80s.”
And OriginalMammoth3868 on Reddit (August 2025) says “I’ve done several Intrepid trips and there’s usually a nice mix of solo travellers, couples, and relatives/friends travelling together. Also, a different mix of ages as well.”

Flash Pack vs Intrepid: accommodation
Quick take:
- Flash Pack: Emphasises boutique and unique stays (rooftop gardens, villas, ecolodges), with consistently positive reviews praising quality and upscale experiences.
- Intrepid: Offers a wider range of accommodations (budget to high-end), depending on trip tier. Basix = budget hotels, local guesthouses, camping or homestays. Premium = Handpicked for location and quality at a 4-star level*.
Flash Pack reviews – accommodation:
Caroline on Trustpilot (May 2025) says, “This was my first Flash Pack trip and I’d 100% recommend it. I’ve been on trips with other companies before but found the age of the group more similar to me and the hotels much better quality. For sure this won’t be my last Flash Pack!”
Danielle on Trustpilot (July 2025) adds, “The hotels were all very nice and upscale accommodations. This was in line with what I had heard about Flash Pack – slightly more expensive but you stay in nicer hotels and generally get what you pay for.”

Intrepid reviews – accommodation:
“I have been travelling with Intrepid for 10 years and have always been extremely satisfied. […] Hotels are always at least as expected (depending on travel style, Basic, Original, Comfort). Strongly recommend,” says Cat on Trustpilot (November 2024).
Caitlin on Trustpilot (April 2025) says, “While I LOVED my tour, I can see some people signing up for this without reading the description and then being surprised at some of the 2 star hotels (in this case it was the “Original” tour style).”

Flash Pack reviews – activities and experiences:
Sylvia on Trustpilot (August 2025) says, “I just returned from Sri Lanka, and I can confidently say this was one of the best trips I have ever taken in my life. Every part of the journey was exceptionally well-organised and thoughtfully tailored to the needs and preferences of our group. The itinerary struck the perfect balance of adventure, culture, and relaxation.
“The dining experiences were truly special – from local restaurants to intimate meals in family homes, each one felt like a deeper connection to the heart of Sri Lanka […] What truly made this trip unforgettable were the one-of-a-kind experiences, the laughter, the connections, and the sense of renewal I felt.”

Marta on Trustpilot (June 2025) says, “Discovering Flash Pack was a game-changer. My experience on their Classical Turkey trip was exceptional for several reasons. First, Turkey itself is incredible. While Flash Pack doesn’t control that, their itinerary design is really good. It perfectly balances Turkey’s iconic highlights with some truly hidden gems. I especially appreciated the emphasis on local community involvement and activities that allowed for genuine cultural immersion.”
Katie on Trustpilot (August 2025) says, “There’s no way I could’ve replicated this experience on my own. It was really nice to have everything so thoughtfully organised […] It’s hard to pick a favourite aspect of the tour, but highlights for me were Plitvice Lakes National Park, boating, and exploring Old Town Dubrovnik. This tour has it all – incredible natural beauty, history and culture, delicious food and wine.”

Intrepid reviews – activities and experiences:
Aaron on Trustpilot (May 2024) says, “I’ve used Intrepid many times. Their trips are well-organised and fun, the guides are mostly terrific, the people are friendly and ready to go.” Baklavabaddie on Reddit (February 2025) adds, “Intrepid puts a huge focus on group activities and you get to know the other people really well with lots of group dinners.”
“I did 2 weeks in India with Intrepid last November,” says Nutellover on Reddit (November 2024). “The group ranged from 21 to 74, average age around 40 (I was 34). They didn’t include much beforehand, but the tour leader suggested different things every day and gave us lots of options. There were some people who said no a lot and went off and did their own things. [But also] groups of us went together in our free time to do stuff. It allows you to be very flexible.”
“So much value was provided, and unforgettable experiences just kept coming,” says Peter on Trustpilot. “The company clearly has an eye on sustainability, community support and environmental responsibility, using local service providers and non-chain accommodation throughout.”

Flash Pack reviews – pricing & value:
Pink630 on Reddit (August 2024) says, “I’ve done 2 trips with Flash Pack, Portugal and South Africa, and loved both! Going on my 3rd trip with them soon. Yes, they are a little pricey, but everything is planned (with the exception of some free time that is shown in the itinerary), all you have to do is show up. The hotels are great, transportation is taken care of, and you have someone with you the entire time to help and guide you (along with other guides along the way). To me, that makes it worth it.”
Michael on Trustpilot (September 2024) adds, “I recently returned from my first Flash Pack trip to Colombia and had a great experience! The trip was expertly planned and well curated…all of the included activities were both fun and educational […] Activities, meals and especially hotels were all excellent and worth the value paid. We also had a great group that got along well.”

Intrepid reviews – pricing & value:
According to Ohio-based blogger Amanda Williams of Dangerous Business (February 2024), “I had just as incredible a time on the Comfort version of the same trip (though the Premium Feature Stay was really special, as were some of the local meals we had). In other parts of the world, though, the Premium itinerary might be different enough to what else Intrepid offers to truly warrant the higher price point.”
Travel blogger Mrs Family Trip (March 2025) says, “One of the things that impressed me about Intrepid was how affordable the tour was for the experiences we had. The cost covered everything from transportation in the country to lodging, meaning we didn’t have to worry about any of the little details. […] Of course, the lodging reflected the price. We were not put into luxury hotels because that’s not what we paid for. But everything was clean, in a great location, and, for the price, worth it.”
