Europe group tours for solo travellers
Travel solo as part of a group tour to Europe
Why travel solo to Europe?
Europe is a destination that wears its history well, but there’s plenty of wild adventure to be had, too, on its beaches, mountains, islands and rugged rural landscapes.
From hiking in Iceland to city-hopping from Split to Dubrovnik in Croatia, you’ll discover all the best places in Europe on your Flash Pack adventure.
Feel the salty sea air and crashing waves as you try out yoga and surfing on the beaches of Portugal. See the sun dip on a private yacht in Istanbul and rise on a hot-air balloon ride in Cappadocia. Or take in the snow-covered landscape in Finland as you hop on cross-country skis.
Whether you’re relaxing in the warmth of Iceland’s Blue Lagoon or kayaking among the crashing waterfalls and quiet forests in Croatia, you’ll soon realize how much this continent has to offer on a solo trip to Europe.
Europe facts
From cuisine to landscapes, here are a few things you should know about your group solo trip to Europe
Demographic
Europe’s population stands at nearly 750 million people, which extends from the northern edges of Scandinavia down to the Mediterranean coast. Russia boasts the largest population, while Vatican City is officially the least populated country, with fewer than 1,000 inhabitants.
Heritage
You’ll find remnants of Europe’s Moorish past in the southern reaches of Spain, Portugal and Italy. Central Europe is home to picturesque villages and elegant Austro-Hungarian architecture; while Greece and Cyprus play host to ancient ruins, accented with Eastern influences.
Food
French cuisine dominates fine dining, but Italian is a firm favourite for home-cooking, pizza, pasta and family-spun food with heart. Mediterranean cuisine is lauded for being one of the healthiest in the world, and you’ll find a crossover with Middle Eastern recipes the further east you go.
Landscapes
While Europe is known for its mild climates, it’s no less diverse for it. Travel to Scandinavia for glaciers, ice fields and fjords. Uncover the medieval city of Porto in Portugal. Hike up invigorating peaks in Central Europe and navigate the volcanic black deserts of Iceland.
Wildlife
Brown bears are native to Central Europe and found in regions such as the High Tatras Mountains. The Eurasian lynx and wolf are found in Russia and Eastern Europe, and the iconic reindeer is native to the Arctic Circle.
