I’ve just returned from The Flash Pack’s 13 day epic adventure to Chile. There are not many places in the world can you experience desert, snow capped mountains, volcanoes, geysers and lakes – all in one country. This makes Chile one of the most diverse countries in the world. Here are some of the photographs I captured on our Flashpacker adventure.

The geysers of El Tatio have over 80 gurgling geysers surrounded by volcanoes. Our visit to this stunning natural phenomena starts at 6am and despite the freezing temperatures I was able to capture the columns of white steam through the rays of sunshine.

After an afternoon of trekking & cycling in the Atacama desert what better way to watch the sun go down than sunset drinks. Watching the sun set from the exquisite valley of the moon is unforgettable experience and I was able to capture this image of The Flash Pack group. Wine of course was a huge part of our adventure.

Our excellent Flash Pack guide Nicholas took our group through caves and over the surreal lunar landscape. At times it felt like we were on a hollywood movie set – a photographers dream.

Just when you thought the Atacama desert couldn’t get any more impressive the yellow flowers and deep blue sky made way for these spectacular views of the Altiplanic Lagoons – with a special appearance of a desert fox (below).

Just a short drive from the Altiplanic Lagoons is the Lagoons of Salar de Atacama where you can watch flamingos at the national reserve. Salar de Atacama is the world’s largest salt lake and has three different types of flamingo and it was beautiful watching them fly over us.

Last but not least was our journey to the 8th wonder of the world – Torres del Paine. We stayed in the Patagonia Eco Camp and did two incredible days of hiking with our two guides Felipe & Carlos. We were lucky with the clear sunny weather and the landscapes were nothing short of amazing.

Felipe and Carlos took our Flash Pack group on a ten hour hike to get to the top of the three peaks (above) and it was well worth it!

Just to top off a great Flash Pack trip to Chile we were treated to this view of the Osorno volcano in Puerto Montt from the plane window. When travelling in Chile make sure you get a window seat – you won’t regret it!
